This copper mould is used to make a popular Peranakan dish - Pie Tee / Top Hat (mini tart) shells filled with thinly sliced carrots, Chinese turnips and prawns. The filling is similar to that found in popiah dish.
Simply dip the cast copper mould into batter, then into hot oil to fry, and finally decorate.
