Goldtree's Dark Soft Brown Sugar is made in Mauritius. Dark brown sugar has a high molasses content that gives it a darker colour with a stronger caramel taste and aroma, while the softness of the sugar is because of the high level of moisture in the sugar. With the slight variation in colour, texture and taste, light brown sugar and soft brown sugar are used respectively for different recipes depending on the customer’s preference. This product is available in 250g and 1kg packs. How to useBrown sugar is suitable for zucchini bread, rich chocolate cookies and even fruit cakes. It is sometimes also used as a direct alternative to regular white sugar due to its nutritional properties.
